Zimmer Dental Now Distributing IngeniOs Synthetic Bone Grafting Products

Zimmer Dental Inc., a leading provider of dental oral rehabilitation products and a subsidiary of Zimmer Holdings, Inc., is pleased to announce an exclusive agreement with curasan AG, to globally distribute innovative synthetic bone grafting materials to the dental market under the IngeniOs™ brand.

IngeniOs HA Synthetic Bone Particles are a 100% non-biologic, pure-phase hydroxyapatite (HA) bone substitute for filling bone defects in a number of dental procedures, including alveolar ridge augmentation, guided tissue regeneration, extractions, and sinus lifts. With up to 80% porosity and minimal resorption over time, IngeniOs HA is designed to provide long-lasting support of vascularized bone formation and exhibits radiopacity for easy x-ray identification.

New Planmeca ProMax SCARA2 2D allows easy and less expensive conversion to 3D

PlanmecaUSA has introduced a new imaging unit that allows dentists to provide comprehensive diagnostic x-ray services to all patients and convert to a 3D unit at a fraction of the cost of purchashing an upper tier unit.

The ProMax SCARA2 (Selectively Compliant Articulated Robot Arm) technology enables movements and imaging geometries for basic panoramic imaging. The unit is intended for digital -based diagnostic X-ray use that includes a child panoramic mode, a double TMJ program, and PA sinus program.

The new Planmeca ProMax S2 2D will replace Planmeca Proline XC in the Planmeca product line.

Endobon® Xenograft Granules are hydroxyapatite ceramic derived from cancellous bovine bone and are fully deproteinated by a two-step high temperature manufacturing process for safety from bacteria, viruses and prions. The granules contain osseoconductive properties that facilitate bone growth directly on the ceramic surface and through the entire graft, and are designed to facilitate maximum bone volume retention.
