Title page • Include name, academic degrees, institutionalaffiliations and locations • If presented as part of a meeting, please statethe name, date and location of the meeting • Sources of support in the form of grants, equipment,products or drugs must be disclosed • Full contact details for the correspondentauthor must be included. Abstract A structured abstract of up to 250 words mustbe provided for all research articles, but not forclinical papers. Articles can be classified as eitherclinical papers or research reports, as follows: Clinical papers: include case presentations,technique reports or literature reviews of aclinical topic.The research report: • States the problem and the objective • Describes the materials and methods so they can be duplicated and their validity judged • Reports the results accurately and concisely • Provides discussion of the findings • Offers the conclusions that may be drawn • Provides, under a separate heading, astatement of the research’s clinical implications and relevance to endodontic dentistry. Product trade names cited in the text must be accompanied by a generic term, and include References References in the Harvard style are acceptable. Permissions Written permission must be obtained for material that has been published in copyrighted material; this includes tables, figures, pictures and quoted text that exceeds 150 words. Signed release forms are required for photographs of identifiable persons. Tables Print out hard copies of each table with double spacing on a separate page. Ensure that each table is cited in the text and is numbered with a brief title for each. Illustrations Illustrations should be clearly identified with a number or letter, either on the back of a print or the frame of a transparency. Please provide captions with corresponding numbers and, if there is any doubt about which way up it goes, or from which side a transparency should be viewed, please mark it accordingly. Digital images should be 300dpi. Proofing Galley proofs will be supplied to authors for correction and amends should be limited to those that are essential for correctness and clarity. Disclosure of financial interest Authors must disclose any financial interest they have in products mentioned in their articles.
